Walhalla is located 180km [111miles] east of central Melbourne via CityLink/EastLink to the Monash Fwy and the Princes Fwy (M1) exit at Moe then via Erica and Rawson. Allow 2 hours & 30 minutes.
Alternative route via Lilydale and Noojee. Turn right to Moe at intersection beyond Noojee (approx. 9km) then head south towards Willow Grove. When you meet the Walhalla road, turn left towards Walhalla. Another option is to continue straight ahead from Noojee towards Tanjil Bren then to Mt Baw Baw and continue on the South Face Road [unsealed for 25km] linking the Mt Baw Baw Tourist Road (C426) to Thomson Valley Road (C481). At the Thomson Valley Road turn right and then left to Rawson.
From Sale, Lakes Entrance, Sydney via the Princes Hwy (A1) exit at Traralgon (corner with McDonalds) then via Tyers.
All routes to Walhalla are well signposted. We strongly advised that you TURN OFF your GPS as the mapping in the mountains is very poor and you will get lost! Just follow the signs...it's simple and easy.
