Please read the following carefully.

BOOKINGS

A valid credit card number (VISA or Mastercard) is required to hold a reservation. We do not hold tentative bookings. On reservations of 4 rooms or more that are booked via one person a deposit of $50 per room per night will be charged to your credit card when the reservation is made. This deposit is non-refundable if the booking is cancelled (regardless of notice given).

CANCELLATIONS

Walhalla's Star Hotel is a small retreat and cancellations or "no shows" have a significant impact. If a reservation is cancelled and you do not rebook for another date at the time of cancellation, the following applies;

 Cancellations any time after your booking but before 72 hours prior to your arrival = $50 cancellation fee (per room/per night)

•  Cancellations within 72 hours but before 24 hours prior to your arrival = 100% fee of first night's accommodation (per room)

• Cancellations within 24 hours prior to your arrival and day of arrival = 100% fee of the TOTAL PERIOD OF STAY (per room)

Please note that on Long Weekends (inc Easter, New Years Eve & Day) a $99 per room/per night cancellation fee will be charged regardless of the notice given.

NOTE: These conditions apply to reservations made by telephone or email direct with Walhalla's Star Hotel. Reservation made under "special deals" or via 3rd party websites like qantas.com or wotif.com are subject to the cancellation conditions outlined on those websites.

Booking with our hotel is like booking a ticket with an airline, when you make your reservation you enter into a contract with our hotel that you'll "rent" the room for the agreed rate/date[s].  Our part of the deal is we hold your room[s] for you at the agreed rate[s] and we will not rent it to someone else who may just happen to come along. You want to be sure that you have a room, we want to be sure that you will turn up and/or advise us of any changes with due notice. If you fail to appear [no show] or you cancel your reservation you will lose any deposit or accommodation charge just like you would if you cancelled your airline ticket or missed your flight.

We recommend that you have travel insurance to cover cancellations in unfortunate circumstances.

FREQUENT FLYER POINTS: 1. Can not be claimed on bookings made via 3rd party websites like wotif.com [except qantas.com]. Frequent Flyer points can only be claimed on DIRECT bookings made with the hotel. *Conditions apply.   2. To claim Frequent Flyer points you MUST present your CARD at the time of checking-out of the hotel. You will NOT be able to claim Frequent Flyer points with out your card.*Conditions apply.

NO BYO

Walhalla's Star Hotel is a licensed premises. PLEASE NO BYO! This means beverages not purchased from Walhalla's Star Hotel cannot be consumed on the premises (this includes the bedrooms).

We have a 24 hour guest bars available if you feel the need for a beer at 4am.

NOISE

Walhalla and Walhalla's Star Hotel is a quiet place. This is why people come to the hotel...to get away, relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. For this reason we have a rule that there be no noise after 11pm and this includes gatherings of friends and partying in bedrooms and common areas.

If you are in a group and staying at our hotel we ask you to please be mindful of the noise level of your group and to bare in mind that we also have other guests staying with us. 

If your intention is to come to the Star Hotel with your group of friends with the plan to "party-on", may we suggest that you select another hotel.

ROOM ALLOCATIONS & REQUESTS

We are happy to take requests for particular rooms within the hotel. However, while we will try to ensure that you are given your room of choice, we can offer no guarantees due to operational reasons. The exception to this rule is "Black Diamond" which is our disabled suit. If you require "Black Diamond" please advise us when you make your reservation and this room WILL be held for you. You will be advised if it is NOT available when you make your reservation. Please note that we have 4 ground floor rooms, if you require a ground floor room, please advise us when you make your booking. People who request ground floor rooms get priority over those who don't. If you are not able to use stairs, please request a ground floor room.

CHILDREN

Walhalla's Star Hotel is place of relaxation where people come to unwind and get away from their every day routine. The hotel was not designed with children in mind. We have readily accessible alcohol in guest bars, no children play areas, steep stair wells, we are not able not cook children's meals and in winter we have unattended and non protected open fires. There's also no television. We therefore recommend that the hotel is not suitable for children under 12yo.
